I'm gonna say, one of the strangest trailers I've ever seen.
that's why its so awesome. the music is really what makes it rad, too.
anyway, jenni has an old friend from columbus, and we were out drinking and talking and she told me she did her senior thesis paper at university of chicago about movie trailers. she said there are actual genres of trailers, and she analysed them and came up with a ranking.
this fucking fascinated me. and this trailer is fascinating because it bucks those norms that we are used to in a trailer. it is without a genre.
and you can damn well bet that sofia coppola has final cut.
