there will be blood
it is pretty magnificent, and you should go see it.
It was phenomenal. The ending is so crazy that it almost obliterated the rest of the movie for me. On further reflection, though, the whole thing was of a piece and hung together fine.
The score (by the guitarist from Radiohead) did indeed make the film feel a lot like a horror film. The shots were beautiful. The sets were perfect constructions.
And not enough can be done to exalt Daniel Day Lewis. His performance is electrifying, as is his relationship with Paul Dano, who is also superb.
